Flowy McFlowface

Flow is that rare state when everything comes together effortlessly—when you lose track of time, your sense of self fades, and you’re completely immersed in the moment.

This rug is my attempt to capture the feeling of being swept up in that current, where action and awareness merge into one.

The face dissolving into liquid shapes reflects the way boundaries blur in flow. It’s like melting into your work or your passion, where you’re no longer just “you” but part of something bigger.

The swirling blues and dripping edges show the movement and energy of flow, but also its fragility. You can’t force it, and you can’t hold onto it—it comes and goes, often when you least expect it.

Making rugs has become one of the ways I find my own flow. The process is both therapeutic and grounding—it forces me to slow down, focus on the details, and be fully present.

Creating each piece helps me connect with myself in a way that feels rare in everyday life, giving me space to reflect and reset.

Over time, it’s become not just an outlet, but a way to align with the present moment and let go of everything else.

Flow isn’t permanent, but maybe that’s what makes it so powerful.

This piece is a reminder to embrace those fleeting moments of alignment, when everything feels connected, and you’re fully alive in the present.

It’s an ode to the beauty of being carried by the current, even if only for a little while.
